How to Specify a Laser Interferometer System
Axsys Technologies is a pioneer in the field of distance-measuring laser interferometry. Since 1979, Axsys has designed and manufactured thousands of interferometers for the world's largest corporations. Our laser interferometers are primarily used as feedback elements in state-of-art servo motion control systems. A laser interferometer system consists of four building blocks:
Helium-Neon (He-Ne) Laser Source
Interferometer/Receiver Module
Retroreflector Flat Mirror Target
Optical Beam Bending and Beam Splitting Modules
In order to provide the greatest possible flexibility for integration into OEM equipment, these elements can be combined in a large number of combinations.
