Axsys Technologies has designed and developed numerous high-precision motion systems utilizing our direct drive motor and precision resolver technologies supported by precise ball bearings and driven by Axsys advanced closed loop control and commutation electronics.  These systems include 2-axis gimbal assemblies, gimbal cartridges, rotary actuators, rotating polygon scanners and oscillating scanners. Axsys oscillating scanners, commonly known as nodding scanners, have been used successfully in numerous micropulse lidar and night vision systems for defense applications.  Our nodding scanners have the smallest scan heads, for the performance achieved, available.  Please see the attached data sheet for details.
