General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems acquired Axsys Technologies in September 2009. Axsys cameras are known for their superior imaging capabilities and proven performance in the helicopter market. The following cameras will be displayed at HELI-EXPO:
- Axsys V9 Multi-Sensor: A mid-size, lightweight and user-friendly gyro-stabilized imaging system. Designed to meet airborne law enforcement (ALE) and surveillance missions, its user-driven hand controller, laser pointer and fully integrated search light slaving capabilities provide maximum functionality and reliability. Contained in a durable, aircraft-grade aluminum body, the V9 Multi-Sensor is compact and durable.
- Axsys V14 MSII: A fully digital, multi-sensor imaging device designed to provide exceptional surveillance and detection capabilities for law enforcement, military and public utilities. The camera incorporates a proprietary high-performance computer, HD video processor and power conditioning unit, the HDU-900. It works seamlessly with the MSII’s touchscreen console, allowing simplified user input, control and monitoring of all system features. With the system’s unparalleled Electro-Optical/Infra-Red (EO/IR) sensor technology, superior lens stabilization and unmatched continuous zoom capabilities, the V14 MSII delivers high-performance, flawlessly precise images, making it ideal for any mission, day or night.
- Axsys V14 HD: A flexible, lightweight production broadcast camera designed to provide true scene fidelity and unmatched color clarity. It is available with extreme standoff lenses that deliver unrivaled focal length or wide angle lenses for cinematography applications. It is the only gyro-stabilized camera system with the ability to interchange between different lens options in the field. With its rugged, compact, user-friendly design the V14 HD is a versatile solution for remote monitoring applications.
