Description:
Axsys Technologies, a $200M public company, with multiple operating divisions located throughout the US, manufactures and sells a broad range of high performance electro-mechanical and electro-optical components and sub-assemblies to the aerospace, defense, electronics capital equipment, graphic arts and medical-imaging markets.
This position is responsibilities for planning and preparing daily, weekly and monthly manufacturing schedules to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders for the assigned product line.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for planning and preparing manufacturing schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Review and analyze material requirements to support customer request dates and schedules.
- Plans and schedules workflow for product line according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
- Prioritizes supplier deliveries and expedites operations in order to avoid schedule delays and alter them to meet unforeseen conditions.
- Works closely with Engineering and Manufacturing disciplines to implement changes in production as needed.
The Required Qualifications for this Position Include:
- Must be a US Citizen or have US Person Status.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a fast paced high technology and/or defense manufacturing environment.
- Bachelors Degree in a business related field or equivalent years of experience and education.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office Software; knowledge of ERP systems.
- Solid organizational and planning capabilities.
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of staff and management.
